The Disappearance

A missing developer. An unsecured door. Blood in the records room.

During the town’s annual heritage fundraiser, respected property developer Daniel Mercer vanishes. His abandoned vehicle is discovered the next morning near an old riverside property he planned to redevelop. At first, police treat it as a missing-person investigation. Then blood is discovered in a recently renovated courthouse records room, along with part of a confidential document connected to a twenty-year-old land dispute.
